To Kill A mockingBird Review
We rate this 4 out of 5 Scout's Ham Costumes.
Background: To Kill A Mockingbird is a great book with tons of symbolism, and foreshadowing. The book follows a family known as the finches with the father atticus, the son jem, and the daughter scout. The book takes place through the eyes of scout finch and sees life in maycomb in the 1930s. The town is full of racism and doesn't seem very civilized with the blacks. Scout follows her father as he is a lawyer and a man by the name tom robinson get convicted. Scout and jem are extremely interested as they follow their father on this case. The town of maycomb is mysterious and holds a lot of secrets. Like who is boo radley scout and jem at the end of the book find out who he really is and what he dose. The kids jem scout and dill are in all the dramma in this town and seems to get in trouble more than they should.
Likes and dislikes: We for the most part really liked the book there was not many dislikes. The only thing we have an issue is on the pace of the book. The book would sometimes go to slow and hardly any times to fast. Like on the trial i felt that went to
slow but obviously they have to show a lot of evidence and such. Also the whole book was really good but parts like after when something happened to jem i felt like that was a little slow and I felt that maybe scout should have learned more about boo. What we really liked was how the book was executed like on certain events like when scout, dill, and jem were riding in the tire and rolled into the boos front yard. Also the part where atticus had to take care of the mad dog, or where atticus had to go to trial. So pretty much we liked anything that had action in it.
Symbolism: The symbolism in this book is very important and can show a lot in this book if you decide to pay attention to it. There are just tons of symbolism in this book that we couldn't keep count of all of it. There is the one that talks about closed doors or on how tom robinson is the mockingbird. There is also some talking about the mad dog and also the white calpernia
